As our new Head of Marketing you would report directly into our Commercial Director, taking over full responsibility for our marketing and communications strategy. In this role you will need to ensure that you align with our branding and design identity but will otherwise work with the Commercial Director to decide on how Notpla presents itself both now and in the future. We will require the Head of Marketing to always have one eye on the overall marketing strategy whilst ensuring that the day to day function is able to perform. You will work cross functionally but will need to build particularly strong relationships with the Commercial and Design groups, to ensure that the brand identity is communicated effectively. In this role you will be taking on a large amount of responsibility and we hope you will see that as a positive challenge, one that will allow you to develop and push your career forward.
We’re looking for someone to lead the core areas of our emerging marketing department. In order to succeed in this role you will need to have experience developing marketing strategies, especially in B2B settings. As we’re also creating a consumer-oriented brand, some experience in a branded ingredient setting would also be highly desirable. We are looking for someone who has experience in leading small marketing teams on a day to day basis and someone who has the ability to develop strong cross functional relationships. Above anything though, we are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainability and wants to help us make packaging disappear. As well as the above, the general day to day responsibilities of the Head of Marketing will include:
Leading the development of Notpla’s overall marketing strategy, and the conversion of that into effective implementation plans across our various products, and the channels in which we operate.
Continuing to develop the Notpla brand identity in consultation with senior management and other relevant stakeholders, and managing any engaged external creative agencies.
Collaborating with the commercial team to uncover insights that lead into innovative marketing and branding strategies.
Leading a small, but growing team, to ensure Notpla’s marketing goals are communicated across the business by routinely sharing strategies, progress, results, learnings, and relevant industry trends.
Improving Notpla’s marketing outreach efforts, especially through our mailing list, as well as through industry associations / awards / publications.
Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on all marketing activities, results, and Return on Investment (ROI). Efficiently managing annual marketing budgets.
Overseeing social media planning and execution.
Consistently identifying new or expanded revenue opportunities.
Ensuring that all marketing and copy material complies with both the Notpla brand standards, and accepted professional standards.
Using directly, and growing the wider marketing (and commercial) team’s use of software packages like Mailchimp, Google Business Tools, including Analytics, Keyword Builder, WordPress, SEMrush, Adobe Suite as examples. A strong working knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO) and lead generation is also critical, to drive that deeper into the team too.
